Art After Hours: Create Mixtape music booklets

Unspooled cassette tape

Old cassette tapes are among the materials used in the workshop

This hands-on art-making workshop draws inspiration from the playful way artists have envisioned new uses for obsolete technologies in the exhibition What Does the Jukebox Dream Of?

Create and bind your own mixtape music booklet, using old cassette tapes, paper and paint markers. Design the front and back covers, include lyrics from your favourite songs, or perhaps make a collage of visuals that reflect the soundtrack of your life.

Drop in anytime between 6pm and 8pm. No experience is required, all abilities are welcome, and all materials are provided.

This event is part of a regular program of interactive workshops – Create, Draw, Meditate and Move – on Wednesday nights during Art After Hours at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, inspired by the Art Gallery’s collection and the art on display.
