Yiribana
The Yiribana Gallery is the first gallery that visitors encounter on the ground level of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ new building. The selection of works on display is inspired by burbangana, a word from the Sydney language that speaks of reciprocity and the generosity of artists inviting us into their world to bring us together, through art, to create greater understanding of Country, history, culture, and the connections we share.
This learning resource brings together primary materials related to the collection display for use across all learning levels.
Learn about selected artworks featured in the display by the artists listed below, with label text supported by discussion questions and activities for years K–6 and 7–12.
