"This is to do with creating an atmosphere of ambiguity or mystery perhaps, but also leaving it at that. Having the trolley going along creates a stage for me, something happening but not specifically. A lot of literature is not always specific, like poetry. I was trying to invent, and to be original – a futile quest perhaps … "
