  • About

Paula Savage is a Torres Strait Islander artist from the Kubin community of Moa Island. With a practice that includes weaving, drawing, printmaking and carving, Savage has established herself as one of the most prolific and diverse artists working at the local arts centre, Moa Arts. Her works represent her cultural heritage, as well as inherited stories and knowledge.

This basket depicts the low tides that occur between the reefs showing the channel for a dinghy to run through. It reveals the deep end of the channel showing the low tides on the shallow end of the reef bed.
