Jack Symons School of thought

Schools are places of learning focused on educating the mind. They can also be places of conformity and compliance. My body of work represents a challenge to these constraints. Exploring the freedom of creativity through a variety of styles and designs, my intent was to ignite the imagination with an explosion and celebration of vibrant, dynamic colour, pattern, form and characters that dare to have a sense of controlled chaos. I wanted to provoke  the  audience to challenge their assumptions about schools and explore the mystique of human creativity. Being courageous in the creative process allows individuals to be who they are, instead of being like everyone else.
