Haunted depths of the human psyche generally symbolises the horrific and dark aspects of human mind, yet there is a deep feeling of compassion. It focuses not on the conscious mind, but on the deeper recesses of the subconscious. These strange, macabre drawings are held together by the rigour and skill of my biro techniques, creating a strong sense of solidity. I present the audience with a mysterious world of wonder where the incredible and unexpected suggest infinite possibilities. I draw in individual strokes with varying pressure of the biro in certain places to create texture. Extreme depth of detail and repetition of key motifs are utilised in each postcard.
