Set within one of the world’s most beautiful cultural precincts, the Art Gallery is one of the finest locations in Sydney for weddings.

With enchanting views of parklands and the harbour and magnificent architecture and artworks, it offers unparalleled photo opportunities and the chance to create memories to last a lifetime.

Whether you have your heart set on a sophisticated cocktail function or an elegant banquet, let us bring your dream wedding to life.

Our experienced and professional events team will guide you through every stage of the planning process, ensuring that you have a stress-free experience from beginning to end.

Every couple who chooses to have their wedding at the Art Gallery will receive a complimentary one-year Inspire Duo membership. Enjoy year-round benefits such as tickets to major exhibitions, access to the Members Lounge, a subscription to Look magazine, and exclusive discounts at the Art Gallery shop, cafe and restaurants, along with additional member perks.

An event that reflects you

We’ll work with you to create an event – whatever the size or style – that reflects you and celebrates your relationship. You will have exclusive hire of either the Naala Badu or Naala Nura building, depending on which event space that you choose, and weddings can start from 6pm.

The restaurant and function room in Naala Nura can host up to 116 guests for a seated reception.

For larger weddings, these two event spaces can be combined to accommodate more guests (up to 200 cocktail-style). Ceremonies can now be held in the beautiful Kaldor Hall, surrounded by art, with the Grand Court galleries as your backdrop.

In Naala Badu, MOD Dining can host 65 guests for a seated reception or 120 guests cocktail-style. Meers Hall can host up to 200 guests for a banquet reception or 350 guests for a cocktail-style event.

During the warmer months, the Harbour Terrace can be used for ceremonies. The Atrium, and adjacent sculpture gallery, is used for indoor ceremonies, as well as pre-dinner drinks.
