About
Herbert Flugelmann constructed the 'Australian cottage' for the Third Mildura Sculpture Triennial in 1973. It was made from reinforced mesh. A precursor to this work was the sculpture 'Wire mesh', which Flugelman exhibited at the Watters Gallery, Sydney, in his solo exhibition in 1972. This image shows an installation view of the exhibition, which ran from 23 February to 12 March 1972. Further installation images of the exhibition are located in the Watters Gallery Archive.
