About
Kurita lives in Ibaraki where he was born, and was educated at Tokai University and the Sokei Academy of Fine Arts.
He has travelled to exotic locations such as Kathmandu and the experience has inspired his work. In this print details such as the icy mountain peaks and inlaid mosaic box evoke the exotic. The box itself, opening to reveal a miniature city, is an apt modern metaphor for Pandora's box.
