The seal inscription is composed of three characters, reading "da ji yang" 【big lucky sheep】 sandwiched by the graphic designs of a dragon and tiger. Here the word "yang" [sheep] should mean "xiang" [luck] which bear a radical of "yang".

The side inscriptions of "Kutie ke" [carved by Kutie] suggests the caver being Wu Changshuo (1844 - 1927), one of whose aliases is "Kutie".
