  • About

Xu Lele brings the great tradition of literati painting in China into a humorous, almost satirical, contemporary idiom. The composition is drawn from the vocabulary of Ming and Qing dynasty court and literati painting styles, and yet it evokes a sense of the modern in its colour, humour and gentle satire.
