In The Sunlight school, Shaun Gladwell’s mysterious Maddest Maximus character inhabits a coastal landscape with an owl, a symbol of flight and wisdom. This work was projected onto a mist curtain at the entrance of the gallery when it was first shown in Gladwell’s The lacrima chair installation at the Sherman Art foundation in 2015.
