About
This is a 18th or 19th century plate with landscape painting, most likely from southern China. It has the mark of the Emperor Yongzheng on the base. This piece resembles 'bleu de hue' wares from the last decade of the 18th century, the Tay Son period, when such ceramics had a bluish glaze and pale cobalt pigment, in addition to the dark rim. The lack of crackle and the unusual reign mark indicates that it was not for the Vietnamese court.
