Along with an ice-cream cooler and three other matching compotiers (L2012.174, L2012.175, L2012.176), this piece comes from the dessert element of a mixed service (ie with differently decorated dinner and dessert components) delivered to the comte du Châtelet-Lomont on 31 December 1767.
