    Medals were awarded by the New South Wales Academy of Art to succesful artists in a number of categories at the annual exhibitions of colonial art and the student exhibitions that the Academy held between 1872 and 1879. This one was awarded to Emily Maze in 1878 for her oil study of a plaster cast.
