About
This sculpture accompanied the Gallery's 'Bronze liars (minus 1 to minus 16)' 1996 installation when it was exhibited in 'Mike Parr: The Tilted Stage' curated by Anthony Bond at Hobart TMAG in 2008. The head belongs to Parr's self portraits as a bride but in this case the mantilla and the gilded stump lend a phallic suggestion to the image.
