Tibetan Tantric (Vajrayana) Buddhism maintains the idea of the inseparability of the masculine and feminine deemed to correlate to compassion and wisdom respectively.
This drawing is a two-dimensional mandala or cosmic diagram. Unlike Theravada Buddhism, Tibetan Tantric (Vajrayana) Buddhist believe that, with serious application and the guidance of a religious teacher an initiate can achieve enlightenment in this life through ritual meditation. -
