    Sue Buckley was born in Perth and died in Sydney in 1986. She studied in Sydney with Desiderius Orban and exhibited her work from the 1940s. In 1956 she produced her first woodcuts and linocuts. She was also one of the earliest teachers of lithography in Sydney. She had a central role in establishing the Workshop Arts Centre, Willoughby, the foremost centre for printmaking in Sydney in the 1950s and 60s where she also taught, and was a founding member of the Sydney Printmakers group.
