Further information

Among the drawings in these sketchbooks are numerous studies of animals and birds, reflecting a particular interest he had in them, and his life in the small rural township of Rockley near Bathurst. There are figure drawings, inscriptions of the artist’s thoughts and ruminations on life and art, and sketches of objects, animals and people.
