About
Art Centre documentation for this work states:
"The name Piintal is the Wik-Mungkan name for the salt pan. Out on the salt pan you can collect ochre for ceremony. In the wet season, piintal turns into a wetland where you can find lots of good bush tucker including may kuthal (sweet grass potato) and may umpiy (water lily potato). There are heaps of piintal out at my family’s Country called Kencharang." -
