About
Art centre documentation for this work states:
“Tnauwurta is my grandfathers outstation. He had a tractor out there because there was a farm out there - he grew grapes, oranges, lemons, fig trees and vegetables. But not anymore. I was 10 years old when my grandfather, mum, dad, aunties, brothers, sisters and cousins would always go for a picnic and camping out in that tractor. Hunting for goanna and witchetty grub with my Grandmother and looking for echidna, we would always eat that one too. We always go to Urruna Tjinya - English name is James Ranges. We grow up seeing that Urruna Tjinya mountain. I want to start back this outstation to grow oranges and grapes like my grandfather one day.”
