About
Fan Ji, also known as Yinquan, was from Changshu in today’s Jiangsu province of southern China. His landscapes have been described as painted in a dashing style. Fan Ji was also a connoisseur of ancient calligraphy, painting and antiques, and published on the theory of Chinese painting. He followed the tradition of the painter Wang Yuanqi and imitated Wu Li.
