From premium wines and spirits to tasty bites, there are loads of eating and drinking options during our opening celebrations.

From 3 to 11 December 2022, we’re celebrating the opening of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ expanded art museum campus, with pop-up bars as well as extended hours for our regular eating and drink venues.

Join us in our new building, known as the North Building, and our original building, now known as the South Building.

North Building

  • MOD Dining by Clayton Wells

    Sit down and enjoy a contemporary culinary experience from one of Australia’s most exciting chefs.

  • Members Lounge

    Casual dining for Art Gallery of New South Wales members and their guests, but everyone is welcome during the opening celebrations.

    Receive a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink with every meal purchased in the Members Lounge, excluding sweets, between 4 and 9pm, from 3 to 11 December.

    The Art Gallery’s new commission by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is the inspiration behind these tasty treats.

    A bespoke flavour, Kusama Cosmos: Japanese cheesecake gelato with yuzu curd, violet ganache, and rice bubbles covered with white chocolate. In all Sydney stores from 3 December until sold out.
