Combine your love of art, food and opera in one amazing experience on Sydney Harbour, Gadigal country.

Starting with a guided exploration of the Art Gallery’s new SAANA-designed North Building, you’ll get to know the secrets of Sydney’s most exciting new architectural landmark and encounter one-of-a-kind artworks created especially for our expanded art museum campus.

Then, surrounded by internationally renowned art and overlooking Woolloomooloo Bay, delight your senses with wine and starters followed by a two-course menu at MOD Dining by Clayton Wells, one of Australia’s most exciting chefs.

Depart the Art Gallery and take a sunset stroll through the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens to your final destination: the critically acclaimed and wildly popular Madama Butterfly for its return to the Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour stage. Take your seats overlooking ‘Paradise’, complete with a bamboo grove, giant moon and rising sun floating in the harbour. As night falls and Sydney’s city lights begin to sparkle, be swept up in the grandeur of open-air opera, with the mesmerising backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. • 30-minute guided tour of new artwork commissions in the Art Gallery’s North Building (5–5.30pm)

• two-course menu plus starters and a glass of wine at MOD Dining on lower level 1 of the North Building (5.30–6.45pm)
