Join us as we explore the dense and vibrant gallery scene of inner-city Surry Hills. First we visit PIERMARQ* to see Chilean artist Humberto Poblete-Bustamente's first solo show in Australia, featuring a suite of heavy, impasto oil paintings that explore harmonies in colour, form and texture. We then step across the road to China Heights to see the group show Candy Apple Grey, curated by Sebastian Goldspink.

Next stop is at STATION’s brand-new gallery on Campbell Street, where Adam Lee presents a new series of moody landscapes and spectral portraits that weave together narratives of memory, inspired by family photographs, music, film and literature. Lastly we visit Yavuz Gallery to see paintings by seventh-generation Muslim Australian artist Abdul Abdullah, whose works navigate complex feelings of displacement and alienation experienced by marginalised communities in Australia.
