Archibald workshop: portraiture With Studio A

Studio A

Studio A

A portrait is more than just a likeness, it aims to capture the essence of someone! Join Studio A artists Meagan Pelham, Catherine McGuiness, Thom Roberts and friends in a free drop-in workshop exploring the art of portraiture. With works by all three artists selected as finalists in the 2022 Archibald Prize, each artist has captured a friend, mentor or collaborator in their artworks. Experiment with different ways of creating a portrait in this fun and creative workshop. All materials provided and no experience necessary.

Studio A is a supported studio based in Sydney, Australia that tackles the barriers that artists living with intellectual disability face in accessing conventional education, professional development pathways and opportunities needed to be successful and renowned visual artists.
