Help us grow our collections and resource areas and continue our extensive learning and participation programs.

You can make a one off or recurring donation to:

  • acquire Australian artworks for our world-class collection, which includes Charles Conder’s Departure of the Orient – Circular Quay (1888), Grace Cossington Smith’s Arums Growing (circa 1927), Grace Crowley’s Abstract (1953), Tom Robert’s The Golden Fleece (1894) and Arthur Streeton’s Fire’s On (1891).

  • support conservation programs, research and projects, including treatment of frames, restoration of paintings, purchases of equipment for analysis and treatment of the collection.

  • Annual giving and the Foundation

Gallery donors play a vital role supporting the acquisition of artworks for our enormously rich and varied collection – the heart of our Gallery.

We invite you to join our annual giving program. Donors who give more than $7,200 over four years will be recognised as patrons of the Art Gallery of NSW Foundation, and enjoy a close connection to the Gallery. Direct your tax-deductible donation to the main acquisition fund or to a particular area, from Aboriginal or Asian art to conservation or public programs.  Find out more

  • Larger donations and gifts

The Gallery’s head of philanthropy is available to discuss larger donations or gifts of other assets, such as real estate, shares or proceeds from an insurance policy.
