Joshua Smith His Excellency The Governor of Victoria, General Sir Dallas Brooks

Reginald Alexander Dallas Brooks (1896-1966), a military commander in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, was governor of Victoria from 1949 to 1963. A freemason, he was also grand master of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria from 1951 to 1963. This portrait of Brooks by Joshua Smith is now in the Grand Masonic Lodge, Melbourne.
