Celebrate Chinese New Year at the Gallery with a weekend with over 30 free events exploring Chinese culture, including extended opening hours until midnight on Saturday 5 February 2010.

Throughout the day see traditional Chinese performances, storytelling, tours, workshops, films, demonstrations and roving entertainment. See the legendary terracotta warriors in The First Emperor: China’s entombed warriors and stunning bronze vessels, musical instruments, lacquer wares and jades in Homage to the ancestors: ritual art from the Chu kingdom, right up until midnight.
