Artist’s statement

Yesterday unfolded represents a progression through art history. My intent was to convey the nature of art through the years in a vivid form. The three panels develop from the statuesque Classical art period, in limited colour, through to the vibrant Baroque period with picturesque and transient figures. My body of work uses the common subject matter of fabric to tie it together both conceptually and visually and to demonstrate the advancing form of art.
