Artist’s statement

This series of digital images visualises what interplanetary human life could hypothetically look like, as it slowly becomes reality due to the advancement and evolution of technology and influenced by public figures such as Elon Musk. The surreal environment and mundane experiences depicted in the six panels highlight the possibility of terraforming Mars for human habitation. By including representations of recreational activities, daily life and humour I introduce the audience to a world of differences and familiarities, while reminding viewers of the catalyst for planet migration: a dying home.
