Artist’s statement

The eyes of a child see from a state of consciousness untouched by the serious, authoritative paradigms enforced by adult-ruled society. My body of work embodies this innocence and playfulness. Spontaneously drawn 'scribbles’ (an allusion to the Etch a Sketch 'scribble game’) demonstrate how this playful attitude towards life progresses, from schoolbook 'doodles’ to sketchbook drawings to large scale drawings. This is a mindscape where intellect or obligatory social conformity don’t subjugate, but where our imagination, simplicity, sense of play and eagerness to act from intuition and natural inclination prosper.
