Artist’s statement

In this collection of heavily layered stills I attempt to capture the realms of my subconscious through the irrational perspective of a surrealist. By appropriating multiple elements of my existence, both real and illusory, into fictional domains, the work as a whole presents a visualised fusion of ‘my life’ and ‘my dreams’. While many of these stills cannot be comprehended logically, I sought to represent the intensity of the emotion behind them through the sheer extravagance of the artwork.
