‘Every animal knows more than you do.’ – Native American proverb

Inspired by my Native American Indian heritage, this series of sculptures explores their belief in animal spirits and guides. ‘Ganatlai Adanado’ means ‘animal spirit’ in a Native American Indian language. In creating these sculptures as wearable masks, I am enforcing the belief that animals and humans are equal, and that animals have souls and the power and wisdom to guide us through life, contrary to the beliefs of Western culture and society.
