Artist’s statement

My memories of 'home’ have been influenced by my surrounds. Colours, shapes and patterns have all been etched and marked upon the surfaces of my domestic objects: sea-washed weather-worn surfaces of the Tasmanian coastline; the Western Australian arid desert; the lush life that I experience in the hinterland of the far north coast of New South Wales. The repeatedly worked surfaces of clay and print are under constant revision, referencing the endless remaking of these landscapes and homes I have known.
