My work refers to the discourse of semiotics and the language of signs, engaging the audience through a time-based mechanism. It is an attempt to subvert the language and authority of the signs that we see every day. The work consists of 504 hand-stuck pieces of self-adhesive vinyl, all from photographs that I took and edited myself. As a time-based work the imagination of the audience is key. New words are mentally spelt out and formed, and then the next flip again creates endless possibilities for the viewer and the imagination starts anew.
