Artist’s statement

Modern cities are a confronting confusion of popular culture, and a manifestation of human innovations. My work, Don’t look down, is designed to appear as though the surface has disappeared, and onlookers can experience vertigo or plunge to the streets below. Every city is unique, and can be represented through its own symbol or icon. Thus, you can find the icon of each city; an apple (the fruit) in New York and a coathanger in Sydney. Whether you view it as flawless or floor-less feel free to fall into the sensation of vertigo.
