Artist’s statement

The sun retreats and the moon arises, unveiling a light source which is tranquil, mesmerising, soothing and alluring. The shimmering stars dance around the moon with flickering spurts, like playful illuminating balls of fire. I am intrigued, I am hypnotised, I am enchanted. As I rest upon cushioned blades of grass, I sink into the ground looking up at the sky, knowing it’s there for me. The universe is now my blanket keeping me warm and keeping me safe. The celestial void wraps itself around me with all its glory and mystery.
