Dreams act as guardians to our sleep, as they envelop and protect us from our waking realities. Memories and traces of our previous day are written on our inner psyche, then partially erased during our sleep. Although we may consciously try to forget particular experiences, they lie dormant in our minds. I explored this shifting state between dreams and reality through the imagery of silken threads appearing yet simultaneously disappearing, protecting yet unravelling, as the dreamer encounters different shadows and illusions. Drawing on the psychological research of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, this series flickers with the rhythms of an intangible gestalt.
