Artist’s statement

I wanted to make a film that would immerse the viewer in images and colour. To achieve this I used high contrast black and white, and bold, primary colours. The sound is also designed to enhance this effect. I have kept it slow and sweeping so it would wash over an audience.
My main influences have been David Cronenburg and Francis Bacon. Cronenburg’s films and Bacon’s paintings both use violent and visceral images and both examine what it is to be human. Like David Cronenburg I am also interested in the relationship between humans and technology. I have explored all these ideas in my film.
