Leading Australian and international artists explore the intricacy and intensity of human relationships

Taking its title from a magnificent painting from 2016 by Judith Wright, this exhibition explores the intricacies and intensities of human relationships through remarkable new acquisitions for the Art Gallery of NSW collection. From the blurring of self that occurs between lovers, to the physical bond between mother and child, to the complex connections between self and society, Significant others reveals how major artists of our time use the human form to explore the differences and commonalities that define us.

Features the work of Kushana Bush, Louise Bourgeois, Kimsooja, Dana Schutz, Marie Shannon, Francis Upritchard and Judith Wright among many others.
