Leading Australian and international artists explore the intricacies of human relationships

Taking its title from a 2016 painting by New Zealand artist Kushana Bush, this exhibition explores the intricacies of human relationships through remarkable new acquisitions by women artists for the Art Gallery of NSW collection. From the blurring of self that occurs between lovers, to the readjustment of self in the wake of loss, to the complex negotiations between self and society, Here we are reveals how major artists of our time explore the portraiture of relationships, often from intensely personal perspectives, to consider the differences and commonalities that connect us.

Featuring the work of Louise Bourgeois, Kimsooja, Dana Schutz, Judith Wright, Sue Ford, Tracey Moffatt and Kushana Bush, among many others, the exhibition gives primacy to the voices and experiences of women and the ways in which they move through the world around them.
