Geography: Urban places
Tuesday 28 August 2018
Consider the Gallery as a case study for the topic of urban places and investigate how it fits within the context of the urban dynamics of large cities and urban localities. Evaluate the Gallery’s environmental management strategies, ecological sustainability, the impact of people and geographical patterns, processes and future trends.

Science: Chemistry of art
Wednesday 29 August 2018
Hear from the Gallery’s conservators about paintings in the collection, and go behind-the-scenes into the conservation labs. Discover the origins of pigments and the contemporary applications of colour.

Aboriginal studies: History and culture
Thursday 30 August 2018
Discover how Aboriginal history and culture are fundamental to the development of Australian identity. Form responsible attitudes to social justice, intercultural understanding, empathy with Aboriginal peoples’ experiences and views, and ethical practices using art and artists as a catalyst for learning

English (Advanced): More than words
Friday 31 August 2018
Develop critical and creative skills in response to artworks in order to develop an understanding of complex visual language. Deconstruct a visual text and discuss how it conveys meaning.
