  • About

Thomas Gleghorn was included in the important touring exhibition 'Young Australian Painters', curated by the director of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Hal Missingham, and shown at the Keio Department Store in Tokyo (2-14 April 1965) and the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (26 May-13 June 1965). The catalogue was printed in both English and Japanese. After the showing of the exhibition in Japan it was placed on view briefly at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (4-8 August 1965). This photograph was taken for publicity associated with the exhibition and also for use within the catalogue. However, it was not the photograph finally used in the catalogue.
