Studio portrait of Rhoda and Rupert Tribe, parents of Barbara Tribe
1928 - 1946
In 1935 Barbara Tribe was awarded the New South Wales Travelling Art Scholarship and departed for England. This portrait of her parents was presumably sent by them to Tribe, during her first year in England. Tribe didn't return to Australia until 1966, thirty one years after she had left, to visit her mother and sister, Marjorie.
