About
Three vintage prints of thiis same image are included in the Sydney Camera Circle Archive. Two (ARC104.61.22 and ARC104.61.23) are dated 1932. The other (ARC104.61.135) is dated March 1929. Other photographs also exist from the same outing and confirm the correct dating of March 1929. The various photographers in this photograph are also identified slightly differently on the verso of these images. The correct identification of those in the photograph is, from the standing figure in bathers eating watermelon around the circle in a clockwise direction: Douglas Hill (in bathers), Stanley Eutrope (seated next to him), Harold Jones (leaning forward), John Metcalfe (with dark vest), William White (wearing a beret), Harold Cazneaux (wearing braces with back to the camera), Cecil Bostock (wearing a hat with back to the camera), Edgar Poole, Henri Mallard (with moustache) and James McColl (crouching wearing a hat).
