About
Edward Knox was a trustee of the National Art Gallery of New South Wales from 1907 to 1933. In this letter he writes to another trustee, John Sulman, about the models and photographs he has been shown in connection with the proposed equestrian groups by Gilbert Bayes, 'The Offerings of War' and 'The Offerings of Peace'. He comments on the anatomy of the horses and whether it is necessary that they be depicted 'going up a hill'.
