About
Max Dupain was one of Australia's most important photographers and we are most fortunate to have strong holdings of his work. The opportunity has arisen to bring into the Collection a number of Dupain's presentation albums. The first 3 of these were given in 2000 and were originally cared for in the Gallery Archive, however the value of the individual prints and their quality as exhibition prints meant that a move to the Australian Photography Collection was necessary.
The Gallery is extremely fortunate to have this material and therefore have a major archive of Dupain's work.
