Horizontal stripes I-13
United States of America
10 Apr 1924 - 05 Jan 2010
Kenneth Noland was an American painter and sculptor, best known as a colour field painter. From the mid 1970s he also embarked on an intense phase of papermaking and printmaking. 'Horizontal stripes I-13' comes from the same period as the Gallery’s painting, ‘Another choice’ 1976, and provides an interesting parallel to it.
