About
Judy Cassab was a major painter of portraits and landscapes, for whom drawing was an important and sustaining activity. She was a frequent and outstanding exhibitor in the Archibald, Wynne and Dobell Drawing Prizes.
Cassab may have originally intended that this drawing on canvas be further developed with watercolour or oil paint. Instead she left itas a simple charcoal drawing, signing itto indicate her satisfaction that it was, in fact, complete.
